How to make guacamole without lime
Guacamole is one of my favorite “dips” and spreads to make ALL the time. It falls second to my fresh homemade salsa.
It’s extremely easy to make. You only need a handful of ingredients and best when dipped with chips or as a healthy spread over your favorite quesadillas, chicken in a sandwich or on top of tacos.

About avocados
Did you know avocados are actually a fruit? They are from the same family as cinnamon and bay laurel, where bay leaves come from.
There are benefits to eating avocados. Avocados are the source of key ingredients, including healthy fats and fiber. They are also reported to help keep inflammation under control and have been shown to lower the risk of heart disease.
How to cut an avocado
The best way to cut it is by slicing around the length of the avocado and then twisting the halves to expose the seed.
To remove the seed, carefully hit the pit with your knife into the seed. Holding the knife in one hand and the avocado half in the other, gently twist the pit until it loosens. It should pop right out, still embedded in the blade of the knife.
Squeeze behind the seed to remove the seed from the knife blade.
You can also use a spoon to remove the seed.
Ingredients you’ll need

Give it a gentle squeeze near the top by the stem and when you get a little give or softness
Place the unripe avocados in a brown paper bag and seal it from getting outside air for a couple of days.
I have found that covering them with water in a bowl in the refrigerator will keep them from going bad
